About the OMSS
Information about the Society and what its aims and activities are.
The Ontario Model Soldier Society is a group of enthusiasts who enjoy the hobby of military miniatures in all its aspects. Our group includes modelers and painters as well as collectors of both antique and modern toy soldiers. All eras of history are represented. If there’s an army, campaign or period you can think of, chances are someone’s into it.
The O.M.S.S. is a non-profit organization (chartered as a not-for-profit corporation in the province of Ontario).
The Society provides a meeting place for members to exchange information about their hobby, improve their skills and knowledge and enjoy each other's company. It also works to publicize and promote the hobby to the public.
The Society began as a small group in the early 1960’s and has grown to a current membership of 150.Most of our members are in the Toronto area but we have members across the country and even a few in the U.S.
