Annual Show

Information about "On Parade" the Annual Show and Competition put on by the OMSS.

Saturday, June 16, 2018                    10 am to 4 pm
Humber College Lakeshore Campus
3199 Lake Shore Boulevard West,  Toronto Ontario

For 2018 our annual show will be returning to Humber College.  Our first year there was a great success.

Humber College has welcomed us with open arms and we are excited about our new venue.  The show will be in one large space with excellent lighting and we will be able to accomodate more vendors and displays.   Access and parking will be easier and we will have accommodations and food services on site.

"On Parade" is the Ontario Model Soldier Society's annual public show and celebration of the hobby of model soldiers.  Thousands of model soldiers from many historical eras and countries will be on display - everything from small wargames figures to 1/6 scale figures and vehicles.

For detailed directions to the show and Humber College facilities see our Show Directions handout.

Vendor tables

This year our vendor area is bigger and better than ever, with over 40 tables of hobby related merchandise.   New and vintage toy soldiers, books, militaria, figure and model kits and lots more.

Some vendors are set up to take credit cards, but most will prefer cash.  There is an ATM on site.

Table rental is only $50 if you book before the end of April ($60 thereafter).  If you are interested in selling at our show please download our Vendor Information Package.

"Name That Soldier"

We've added a new feature this year.  Two of our most knowledgeable members, Guy Elliot and Jim Matresky have volunteered to host an identification service they're calling "Name That Soldier".  Got some figures in your collection but don't know who made  them or when?  Bring them down for a free consultation.  They won't be doing price appraisals but you're welcome to consult any of our vendors on that score.

W. Britain Company Display and Seminar

The W. Britain company will be at the show to display some of their latest releases and talk to collectors.  They will be selling memberships to their Collectors Club and their will be a draw for members who sign up at the show.

At 1 pm they will present a free seminar on how they develop new figures, from research to sculpting.

Thousands of model soldiers on display from many periods and armies.  Pageantry across the ages.  Military parades, bands, vehicles and artillery.  Large scale (1/6) figures and vehicles.  There will also be table-top wargaming demonstrations.
